Forcible Entry Wedge
Forcible Entry Wedge
for opening doors and keeping gaps open
Part-No. WRS1076
- Wedges for knocking in when opening doors or for securing gaps
- Curved surface for better hold in gaps
- Extremely lightweight, only 140g per wedge
- Including hole for fixing to the spike of a Halligan tool
- Single wedge or set of 2 made of anodised aluminium (solid and lightweight)
Wedges made of solid aluminium (available as single wedge or practical set of 2) for door opening, with special curved surface for better hold in the gap. The wedge can be used to hold open existing gaps, or hammered in with a striking tool to actively widen a gap. The hole can be used, for example, to attach the wedge to the spike on a Halligan tool so that it is always handy.
In addition, a wide variety of other applications in fire brigade operations are also conceivable:
- Forcible door opening to hold open a created gap (Forcible Entry)
- Knocking into a gap that is too small, for enlargement
- Fixing doors e.g. during positive pressure ventilation or searching for persons
- Securing gaps when using a spreader (e.g. door opening)
- Wedging underneath smaller objects to prevent rolling or sliding away.
Colour: dark red or neon yellow
Dimensions: approx. 115 × 40 × 25 mm (LxWxH)
Hole diameter: 20 mm
Weight: 140 g (per wedge)
Material: Aluminium 6061 T6 (anodised)
When forcibly driving the wedge into solid doors (e.g. made of metal), the surface can be damaged. After use, the wedge can be straightened again with a hammer and file.
