Snagger Multifunction Coupling Tool
Snagger Multifunction Coupling Tool
for interior attack and hose management
Part-No. WRS1037
- Innovative multifunctional tool for fire brigade operations
- Hose management, coupling tool, glass management
- Facilitates work and replaces numerous different pieces of equipment in one
- Fits in any protective clothing pocket (only 340 grams)
- Made of anodised aluminium (stable, durable, lightweight)
- Well known in the USA and Canada, now finally available in Europe!
The time has come: The Snagger multifunctional coupling tool from "Motis Fire Rescue", already well-known in Canada/USA, is finally coming to Europe!
The Snagger is an innovative, handy and lightweight tool for all areas of the fire brigade. It is mainly intended as a coupling tool, for hose management, for opening coverings and panels, as well as for glass management during accident rescue. However, this practical tool has many more possible applications. Due to its dimensions, it fits into all standard protective clothing pockets.
- Coupling of hose couplings (Storz C, B and A)
- Retightening and guiding hose assemblies (better grip, more force, less fatigue)
- Hanging hoses on ladders and railings (C42 and C52)
- Breaking toughened safety glass during accident rescue
- Tearing down false ceilings, drywall and panelling
- Opening hydrants, locks, manhole covers and valves
- Carrying rolled hoses
- Easier rescue in a respiratory protection emergency
- Door wedge, bottle opener and hook for equipment
- Removal of laminated glass (attention: coating and Snagger may get damaged!)
The Snagger is made of aluminium with an anodised finish that gives it a durable, scratch-resistant surface. The corrugated handles on both sides fit optimally in the hand and enable huge force application. The two different sized openings have different functions:
Small opening: The small opening on the Snagger is used to grasp, guide and hold C42 hoses (C52 also fit at low pressure), this enormously simplifies hose management (position of the hose, as well as secure hold). The notch at the end fits perfectly for coupling C and B couplings (Storz), as well as all American hose couplings.
Large opening: The larger of the two openings holds a C52 hose (or a B75 hose at low pressure) and allows more force to be applied without fatigue. The additional groove perfectly engages the lugs of A-couplings and all kinds of screw caps (e.g. foaming agent canisters) and hydrants.
Hardened metal tip and wedge tip: The small metal tip at the end of the small opening can be used to hammer in toughened safety glass (ESG) for glass management. On the opposite side, the wedge tip can be used to penetrate drywall panels, laminated glass and cladding to rip them open. As shown in the video, this can also be used to cut laminated glass in an emergency. However, be aware that the coating of the Snagger may get damaged or the Snagger may be deformed!
Color: Gold or dark red
Dimensions: 170 × 130 × 15 mm (LxWxH)
Weight: 340 g
Material: aluminium (anodised)
Even though the video mainly shows American hoses and couplings, the Snagger also fits the Storz couplings and hose diameters used in Germany and Austria and elsewhere in Europe. In the video and in some usage images, the old design of the Snagger can still be seen. The version delivered here is the new improved version as shown in the main product image.
