Striking Tool (Firefighter's Axe)

Firefighter's axe for use as a striking tool in combination with the Halligan tool in technical assistance and especially for forced door opening (Forcible Entry) in the field. The axe head is approved for striking metal.

The extremely flat tapered axe head makes it much easier to penetrate material. At the same time, the head is an optimal wedge to keep open a gap levered open with the Halligan tool.

The back of the axe head is cambered (rounded), which ensures optimum transmission of force to the Halligan tool, even when not hitting exactly straight when striking. The handle is made of glass fibre and is therefore comfortable to hold, while at the same time insulating the tool operator against currents.
